The music video for the single "KAM-WŁOS" promoting the album "KAM-RAP-POL" by Kamil Pivot.
The concept album tells stories about Kamil's life through various business ideas. The titles of the tracks are based on references to the names of Polish companies established in the 1990s. Each of the songs represents a different "KAM," for example, "DREW-KAM," "KAM-WŁOS," "KAM-CAR," etc.
Shot in the traditional, Polish hair salon ran by Zygmunt Harciński. One of the last salons stucked between past and present that are left in Warsaw.
The release of the album is stylized to resemble illegal, DIY CDs from the turn of the century. Titles and artwork for the album designed by Jacek Walesiak. Hence, the idea to also capture the atmosphere of those times in the music videos.
This style known as TypoPolo is a customary term first used by Polish graphic designer Jakub Hakobo Stępień describing the amateur typography created in the 1990s. „Unsophisticated signboards and simple advertisements became a visual reflection of the economic and political changes in Poland, a symbol of the Romantic breakthrough, when “everybody could be what they wanted and everything was possible” (quote from Rene Wawrzkiewicz).
